I wantwd to keep the legs  under opossing tension, this would stop them from tipping one way or the other when the table was lent on. 

The outriggers sit at 40 degrees from the table legs

I used contact glue, before sewing them on too. These will be under a lot of strain.

The other end of the support will be embeded in the base.
