I wanted to take the everyday and make it spectacular. To take something unremarkable and invite the user to take part in a simple action ‘to unfold’, evoking joy from the unexpected, to be surprised by the mundane and celebrating the ordinary.  Using the pop up book as my platform I have transformed the unassuming cardboard box into its own landscape, transporting you instantly to a familiar yet surprising setting: The Pop-Up Picnic. Simple pleasures that make you smile.
